The Bitcoin Net Realized Profit and Loss (Net Realized PnL) indicator is a key Bitcoin metric that helps spot market reversals and shifts in sentiment. This metric tracks whether investors are selling their Bitcoin at a profit or loss compared to the last time those coins moved on-chain.
The NRPL indicator compares the average selling price of coins to their average acquisition price (based on the last time they were moved). When the average selling price is higher than the average purchase price, the histogram turns green, showing net profit-taking across the market. If the average selling price is lower, the histogram turns red, reflecting net realized losses.
