Methodology

Bitcoin trading volume is the sum of the trading volume of all BTC pairs from specific exchanges.

The displayed Bitcoin trading volume is only from a small proportion of exchanges.

- Binance
- Coinbase
- Kraken
- Bitfinex
- OKX
- KuCoin
- Huobi
- Crypto.com
- UpBit
- ByBit

The actual total trading volume is significantly higher. This is because parts of the trading volume are conducted outside of cryptocurrency exchanges, for example in the OTC markets and our calculation only uses a small handful of vetted and reputable exchanges.

cycle over cycle, bitcoin price has never gone much lower than the previous high of the last cycle. 12-4-2017 high was around 17K, then dipped back to 17K in 2022 after the rally to 64K. If bitcoin history repeats itself, we should be near the bottom now
